The unit is powered by ten type 123A lithium manganese dioxide batteries. When the defibrillator is not in use, the operating time of the batteries is 5 years. If you defibrillate with the device, the operating time is shortened. A red "X" will appear earlier in the status window. When you then switch on the device, the prompt "Change batteries" will sound.
