The HS1 defibrillator is an extremely clearly designed semi-automatic device. After switching on, a clear and calm voice guides the first aider step by step through the resuscitation and gives the user confidence. By the way, the unit can be switched on by pressing the on/off button or by pulling the handle of the electrode cassette. Clear illustrations indicate the correct positioning of the electrodes. Once the heart rhythm has been analysed, the HS1 prompts the user to either press the shock button or perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The practical information button provides extra assistance in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation if desired.
